The Annual Kick-off event this year will be held at the Grand Staircase of the State House at 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attend with friends and family and show your support for October Italian-American Heritage Month! A proclamation by Governor Deval Patrick will be read. Honored Guest: Consul General of Italy, Dr. Liborio Stellino. A wonderful program has been planned, so please join us! Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

“Luciano Pavarotti” Bravissimo”, a film produced by the“Metropolitan Opera Guild” of New York. The film - in English – will be 75 minutes long and reproduces the life and opera of the great Master Luciano Pavarotti a year after his death. The showing is part of a world-wide project started by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for these celebrations.
